As we closed 2020, what should have been a year with so much expectation and vision turned out to be a year where Lockdown in many areas of our lives became a reality, not just in regards to the pandemic but mainly to our dreams hopes and goals. So many of us, myself included, began to think… what’s the point of keeping our hopes alive?
Let me encourage you…to lose hope means the devil has won. Note to self: he has not and his destiny is to burn in the lake of fire. Jesus is coming back for us; therefore keep your lamps trimmed. This means stay alert, alive and hopeful. Don’t give up… keep hope alive. No person can hold you back when God has decided to raise you up. Some people will have to eat their words. God will not fail you.
Don’t quit now. You always face big battles before great breakthroughs. God is taking your brokenness and bringing forth His beauty and blessing. You are coming up from the “pit” and being positioned in the “palace” to fulfill the will of God. In case you were moping around feeling ordinary, let me remind you of something: You were made in the likeness of the God of the Universe. There’s nothing ordinary about you.
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10, NIV).
When you are faced with an impossible situation, remember that with God all things are possible. One thing is certain in life: change. Years change, seasons change, people change, but the Word of God never changes. His promises are forever settled in Heaven. Things may look like they could never turn around and the storm is darker than ever. On your own, you’re done. But you’re not on your own. Get ready; peace is coming, favour is coming and victory is coming. You’re going to see God override what’s trying to stop you.
There’s no storm too strong that He can’t calm. No giant too big that He can’t defeat. No fire too hot that He can’t step into and bring you out. No lion too hungry that he can’t close their mouth. No Pharaoh too powerful that He can’t change their mind. Stop thinking negative thoughts and expecting a positive life. Keep your eyes on Jesus and walk on that water. God is taking you places your resume doesn’t qualify you for. Get ready, in the name of Jesus.
Set your heart back on track with God, renew your mind and get ready to rebuild what has been destroyed.
