Don’t give up yet…
When things are tough we blame God and shout at Him saying why why, how long Lord, why me?
The key is to change our hearts from thinking He is not hearing or listening, to saying. “Lord! I don’t care how bad it gets I’m not looking at the situation and I’m not looking to people but now I’m looking to You for change in my circumstances. As you keep a heart of praise and gratefulness to Him, He will open doors of favour for you. When our hearts become stout towards Him we begin to block our favour.
The other thing is that forgiveness plays a big part of the flow of God’s providence in our lives. Once we release forgiveness or anger towards those who have hurt you or towards God for what you going through and even yourself for mistakes perhaps, then you allow God’s power to work firstly in your heart and your mind then in your circumstances. I’ve seen God work amazing things in people’s lives when they change the posture of their hearts in hard times.
God doesn’t lie. He says those who sow in tears will reap in joy. He is talking about praising Him even in the most dire situations.
That’s when we say I don’t look at my situation. I place pressure on God to work for me by lifting up my heart and lifting up my downcast eyes and saying – Lord I’m leaving this whole mess in Your hands. Worry and anxiety isn’t getting me anywhere at all, so now I’m trusting You and I’m going to put Your word to the test and praise You until it changes and then when it changes I will praise you still.
If you are trusting God with fear in your heart you won’t see change. It’s a decision in the middle of your circumstances to not be anxious and work faith.
When you stand up against the enemy and say this is not God’s will for me – I command my life to change, and you start speaking the word over your life with faith driving it… ‘God’s word will not return void.’
Not standing up to the enemy allows him to continue stealing from you. Only you can shout at the thief to go.
- 1. Ask God to forgive you for being in fear, for fretting and being anxious.
- 2. Ask him to forgive you if there is any anger in your heart.
- 3. Decide that fear is not working for you. Faith is your best option and stand on God’s word as you look to Him and not to people or the world system.
- 4. There is sufficient grace for each day.
- 5. When you are weak He is strong!
- 6. When you trust Him, He can do more than you hoped or imagined. (Ephesians 3.20)
I hope this will encourage you and strengthen you and your faith.
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
So we don’t look to the things we can see like our needs. But we put our trust in God as we remain expectant to see Him turn things in our favour. And while we fight to hold our peace, we stand firm that God who promises will keep His word to us and meet our need according to His abundant supply and Grace.
Don’t give up. God is fighting for you – keep your faith alive.
Perhaps you need to ask God how to pray in your situation, as you do that He can lead you to your victory…
